A Hard Day's Work is a material and conceptual departure from my usual work. I have enjoyed steam-bending wood for years, but just recently incorporated this process into my own artwork. With each piece in this series, I began by bending the handle of a traditional tool and then reattached it to it's original head. I then composed a situation for each in which the tool is conducting a specific action and usually involving an additional material. I plan to continue this series, so please check back often for more bent tools.
