In-Transit

This project was part of Out in the Open at the William King Museum of Art in Abingdon, VA. The piece consists of a steel and vinyl structure designed to fit around a mature, preexisting tree. It is intended to appear as though the tree has only been temporarily planted on the WKMA grounds, highlighting the absurdity of mobility. The sculpture is currently still on view, so if you're in the area, please check it out. *Special thanks to Sailrite for the donation of fabric used in this project.
